Do you want to experience Costa Rica’s traditions?  Here at Traditional Farm Tour you’ll see many of the traditions that make Costa Rica unique.  We’ll guide you through beautiful trails & paths that wind through macadamia, coffee, botanical gardens, fresh water springs that supply potable water to the near by communities, and other incredible surprises you’ll just love.  You’ll take part in many activities and see our operational 150 years old oxen driven “trapiche”.  We guarantee you one thing… you’ll leave eagerly wanting to come back!

About the Tour

The tour has a length of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to three hours. Once you arrive you will be greeted by two special members of the tour, the oxen, whom you’ll be able to spend time with and take as many pictures as you like. Then you’ll be taken to the reception area where you’ll be able to relax as you wait for the tour to start.

Souvenirs and gifts

Upon returning to the reception area you will have the opportunity to visit the gift shop where you can find roasted macadamia, delicious traditional Costa Rican snacks or beautiful traditional Costa Rican souvenirs made by the local artesian. We will also have a short Tertulia. A Tertulia is an activity; part of Costa Rica’s tradition, in which people gather and have a fun time talking about their experiences, or telling stories.
